Homemade Christmas Potpourri

Why all natural potpourri you ask? Well not only is it practically free, but all the natural oils benefit you as you inhale them.
The qualities of natural potpourri are very real, and these are more than beneficial, many times over.  Natural living and dried plants have been used for many, many years, providing great relief from stress and direct relaxation.  Not only have they been utilized for finding a relaxing state, but natural potpourri  has been simmered to create an inviting aroma within an individuals home as well.  From purifying the air, to cleansing the environment, to simply refreshing living accommodations–the choices are numerous.

Any herbal combination is best from natural, botanical ingredients, whether these are from the ground, or growing in shrubs, or even flowers.  They can be derived from many  locations right in your own yard.  For example, pine branches, pine cones, and even tree barks can be condensed down and mixed to create quite a fragrance that is charming to many.  Further, tree sap, resins, herbal roots, many blooms, leaves, and even pine can all be intertwined in a variety of creative ways to develop multiple herbal aromas to be enjoyed.  The best news here is that there is always something for someone.  I chose pine cones, pine branches, apples, cranberries, and pumpkin pie spice for mine, but I also use oranges and cloves .If you don't have spices, tea bags work great too.

I put mine on the stove to simmer, adding water as needed. You can also use a crockpot.

Enjoy!!!!
From my home to yours....
